How to Add a Member to Your Cloudflare Account

Cloudflare provides a variety of tools that boost both the speed and security of your website, with most of them being 100% free. If you’re working with a team or web development agency (like us here at Redgum Digital!), you may need to provide access to your Cloudflare account. By adding a member you can securely allow others to manage settings, monitor performance, or troubleshoot issues without having to share your login credentials. This method also allows you to maintain full ownership and control of your site’s DNS records. Adding a member to your Cloudflare account is simple and can be done in just a few steps, here’s how:

1. Log in to your Cloudflare account.

Go to Cloudflare’s website and log in to your account.

2. Click ‘Add’ in the top right corner and select ‘Account Members’.

3. Type in the email addresses of the people you wish to add as members.

It doesn’t matter if they don’t have a Cloudflare account yet, the invitation email will prompt them to create one if necessary. If you’d like to add more than one member, use a space to seperate the email addresses.

If you’re completing this guide as a Redgum Digital customer, please enter [email protected] into this email field.

4. Edit the scope to target the domain you wish to share.

Leave the ‘Operator’ field as is, but change the ‘Type’ field to ‘A specific domain‘ and select the domain you wish the member to have access to.

5. Choose which permissions to give the new member.

If you’re completing this guide as a Redgum Digital customer, please check all the boxes.

6. Click ‘Invite’ to send the new member an invitation email.

They’ll need to click the link in this email to accept your invitation and begin accessing the account. You can return to this screen at any time to edit permissions, add new members, or revoke access.
